QUOTE (John Q. Adams) – Feb 9

February 9, 2014

English: , John Quincy Adams the sixth preside...

“The hope of a Christian is inseparable from his faith. Whoever believes in the Divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures must hope that the religion of Jesus shall prevail throughout the earth. Never since the foundation of the world have the prospects of mankind been more encouraging to that hope than they appear to be at the present time. And may the associated distribution of the Bible proceed and prosper till the Lord shall have made “bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God” [Isaiah 52:10].”
~ John Quincy Adams

In honor of John Quincy Adams, the 6th President of the United States, Diplomat, Secretary of State, U.S. Senator, and U.S. Representative, who was selected by the House of Representative to be President of the United States on this day in 1825.

  1. Hi!
I love this quote & even from our presidents, though we don’t have them now because we aren’t as devout Christians like we used to be. Obama & other presidents who have messed with our government ways are nothing as the way of John F. Kennedy, George Washington, John Adams & any other presidents before we decided to demoralize how our country was & has been changed.

  2. Tragic that we have lost the truth that the great majority of our Founding Fathers were devout Christians or Jews.

  3. Wow amazing to see a quote like this coming from our 6th President!
